About the Organization

Vocalise Africa is a National Non-Governmental Organization that uses creative Arts to empower under-served communities, the youth and refugees in Kenya by supporting initiatives that improve their welfare, enhance their access to education and training, and enable them to use their talents, skills and creativity to address various social issues such as advancing climate Action, promoting good governance, and Gender Equality among other social issues.

Originally started in 2023 as a CBO in Turkana, Vocalise Africa has transitioned to a National organisation and progressively continues to support initiatives that improve the welfare of the under-served communities. The organisation supports communities to acquire new knowledge and promote social transformation by using thought provoking story-telling techniques which foster awareness, inspire action and strengthen community resilience. Rooted in the Theory of Change, the organisation aims to fastrack communities’ adoption of Social Transformation.

To achieve this goal, stakeholders participate in identifying interventions that address different thematic areas. Additionally, by leveraging on innovative solutions, evidence research and data driven adaptations, the organisation enables under-served communities, youth and refugees to access skills abilities to combat every day live challenges.

Vocalise Africa envisages a future where under-served communities, the youth and refugees are empowered to combat social inequalities, the voices of the marginalized groups are equally heard and valued, and sustainable practices contribute to the well-being of societies, ultimately transforming Kenya into a beacon of hope and progress for all.
